Peperonata is a colorful combination of bell peppers slowly caramelized with garlic and olive oil, then finished with a splash of red or white wine vinegar. It’s typically served as one of many antipasti during a traditional Sicilian meal, often with rustic, crusty bread or as a condiment to grill meats and fish.
Bell peppers are low in calories and high in nutrients, including several important vitamins. A one-cup serving of chopped bell pepper contains 120 milligrams of vitamin C. Vitamin C helps your body absorb iron and heal wounds. It may also play a role in preventing a variety of health conditions, including heart disease and cancer.
Bell Peppers were distributed last Saturday at all of our 5 market locations in Florence, Fountain Hills, Mesa, San Tan Valley, & Sun City
